During my recruitment process last fall, I was asked what sisterhood means to me. Without hesitation, I said that it was love. And that is exactly what I have with my sisters in this chapter. We love by showing up for one another, helping each other grow, and so many more other ways that my heart is going to burst just by how much I am grateful for this lovely bond I get to be a part of. Having supportive women to share the good and the bad with makes this Alpha Chi experience that much more exciting. This sisterhood has taught me more ways I could love and be loved --- this is what it truly means to be in a healthy friendship.
With the new year comes a new way that we are showing our love to our sisters: writing letters to each other. It’s a way for us to bond with the members of our chapter and to truly connect with one another. Filled with words of love and appreciation, these letters are something that we could read back to in times of stress. To be reminded that we are surrounded by women that we could always count on. Finding a home in Alpha Chi Omega has brought me many wonderful friendships that I (just like with the love letters) will keep for a lifetime.
